I have always been interested in photography; it first started when testing my sketching/drawing abilities with others' photos (such as the images you'd find in National Geographic). After high school, I had no time to continue drawing, in between college and being employed full-time, so I decided to try my hand at photography. I knew it was going to take some serious studying, which, after all my hard work and efforts, my work began to improve dramatically. My favorite things that I photographed back then were horses, my dogs (and all my shelter dog "friends"), and general nature (landscapes, wildlife, plants/florals, etc). Today, I still love photographing horses, dogs (and other domestic animals included), and nature, but my knowledge of photography skills has allowed me to photograph many other subjects as well.
About two years ago, I tried my hand at using a digital camera, exploring a whole new way to take pictures! With a digital camera, I have a certain freedom that allows me to learn new techniques through trial and error (no more wasted film!!), and to expand my acquired knowledge of photography. I have recently started photographing special events, such as weddings, proms, and sporting events. There are so many photo opportunities if you just take the time to look around.
I am originally from Summerville, South Carolina, but am currently residing in the Adirondacks of Upstate New York, where wildlife and beautiful landscapes are plentiful. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me, I hope you have a great day!
