My names Emily Zara and I live in England with my two younger sisters and my parents. I’m twelve years old and was born in 1992.
I’ve always been interested in art and have been producing pieces from an early age, as my grandma is an artist and my family are always keeping the creative flares going. I have many folders at home of artwork I’ve done since I was a toddler, throughout my life.
I’m in my first year at high school and art is definitely my favourite subject, I’ve also got a place in the gifted and talented art club at school. As I have a talent in art, my teacher has suggested that I do my GCSE in art a few years early, before most of the others. I’m proud of my achievement in art and my family are too.
In my spare time I also enjoy: playing the violin, I’ve been playing for three years now; writing, I’ve had a couple of my poems published and won/done well in competitions; dancing and enjoying music; spending time with my wonderful family and friends!!!
I’d like to thank my great art teacher, Miss Clay, for helping and inspiring me with artwork and my Nanny Pat who’s helped me a lot with digital art. Finally my mum and dad who are always there for me no matter what, I’ll always look up to them.
My sincere thanks to Peter Humphreys, the editor for accepting my work on Droplets of Colour, and for giving me an opportunity to share my work with others.
