"I've been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember. I trained as a graphic designer  at Bolton Art College in the early eighties and worked in studios throughout Manchester up to  the mid nineties. Since then, I've been involved in pub and nightclub management and I  currently work for Ken Bromley Art Supplies in Bolton.

Most of the images submitted here have been completed in the last six months. I particularly  enjoy painting in the 'pop art' style. Watching the image become more and more complete as I  add each new extra tone to the canvas is strangely compelling. I paint most evenings after  work, sometimes five or six hours a night.

I've sold work through galleries in Manchester and I've also recently started designing  websites. I've got more work on display at www.peterbroome.co.uk."
